What was the highlight of Fufu Hakone
Great stay at a smaller high quality hotel
The rooms were a delight! As was the staff who were very welcoming and attentive to our needs. The food was also quite exceptional although too much at times - you will not be hungry. The public onsen was worth a dip. They provided a loft to Gora station.
Some people may want a traditional shower; there is one but it is part of the private bath cleaning station. We leaned into it.

Lovely resort with in-room onsen
Great stay and service. We really appreciated how well they treated the vegetarians in our group. Japanese food is typically not vegetarian friendly but here the chefs went out of their way to prepare delicious vegetarian (no fish broth!) kaiseki meals for us. In some of the courses, the veg options were even better than the non-veg ones.
The property is close to some amazing hikes and trails, but they didn't really provide any suggestions or ideas. I think most guests either stay at the resorts itself or explore by car.

Delightful setting, close to park area, food, incredibly prepared and served. Idyllic.

Unforgettable !!!
Love the room and the private onsen. Staff were courteous and helpful. Very good English too. The waitress are attentive to our needs! Wish to come back again!
Very hard to book, sold out on most seasons ! Book early! It is costly but worth the experience.
